What you'll be doing:

Verizon is seeking a Technical Project Manager to help support service delivery of our Unified Communications services on the US Navy NMCI network. The Unified Communication Project Manager will serve as a key component in support of Navy Enterprise VoIP/VoSIP/VTC Unified Collaboration (UC) Service delivery support. Candidate will utilize organization and communicative skills while working with senior management to deliver Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure / Endpoint delivery. This role will interface with Verizon Operations & Management (O&M), Design Engineering, Program Office and Government UC stakeholders and Naval Base Field Service engineers aiding in the UC Operation & Management service delivery process, to include, resolving and escalating all UC Program Service delivery issues. In this role you will also oversee, optimize, and maintain VoIP/VoSIP/VTC technical infrastructure and systems, to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability. Lead team in troubleshooting complex issues, manage deployments, implement new technologies, and drive process improvements. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, requiring strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work as part of the O&M UC Team to deliver and maintain enterprise VoIP and VTC services

  • Understand and help develop documentation aiding UC endpoint delivery.

  • Track UC delivery life cycle.

  • Provide strong communication channels to the Government, Base Field Services and UC Management.

  • Provide Weekly, Bi-Monthly and Monthly reporting to pertinent UC stakeholders

  • Mentor and develop junior personnel.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor team members, and manage remote staff

  • Manage daily operations, delegate tasks, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems, bottlenecks, and system incidents.

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement, document, and standardize improvements.

  • Maintain records of maintenance, upgrades, and system configurations.

  • Monitor KPIs, and mitigate operational risks

  • Report to senior management on project status and team performance

This role will be full-time on-site initially, with the potential for a hybrid work model in the future. What we're looking for... You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

  • Four or more years experience in Project and Technical Management

  • Active US Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain.

  • Knowledge of PMI & ITIL principles

  • Experience and solid understanding of Federal Public Sector technical delivery life cycles

  • Exceptional documentation skills to clearly articulate UC service delivery strategy.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A degree

  • PMP or ITIL training or certification

  • Technical Certifications (i.e. Cisco or Ribbon)

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Experience with hardware/software, network infrastructure, and user support.

  • Experience as an engineer

  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and project management skills.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $83,500.00 - $160,200.00.
