KBX is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Wichita, KS. The ideal individual will possess excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, have keen attention to detail, and show initiative. Additionally, they should be an active learner, adaptable to change, a team player, and a highly motivated individual ready to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Our Team

Our Accounts Payable team partners closely with multiple capabilities across the organization to deliver reliable and timely payment to our vendors. We are committed to developing and fostering mutually beneficial relationships to become the preferred partner for our vendors and carriers.

What You Will Do

  • Match and enter invoices into various payable systems
  • Ensure timely and organized invoice processing and filing
  • Maintain invoice status within databases to ensure the most up to date information is available
  • Assist with lease and maintenance payable activities
  • Build strong, respectful partnerships and collaborate across multiple capabilities to reduce aged payables
  • Research and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address inquiries and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and propose potential solutions
  • Apply Principle Based Management principles and mental models to foster a value-creating environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to find and filter information
  • Experience creating pivot tables in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with data entry and data review

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience working in an Accounts Payable or Accounting or Finance position
  • Experience processing, reconciling and managing invoices
  • Experience using SAP Ariba
  • Experience working with third party vendors
