Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Electrical Maintenance - Full Time, Days - Facility Mgt-Plant Main&Repair - - Monday - Fri.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and support of the Electrical Shop, its related staff and outside contractors.
Ensures continuous and uninterrupted provision of repairs, testing and inspections are being properly performed with a
strong emphasis on efficiency, quality and safety. Maintains accordance with the contractual and industry standards.
Responsible for overseeing the proper operation, maintenance and repairs of the hospitals essential electrical systems and their components including the fire alarms system. May assist in the planning, design and modifications to the hospitals normal and emergency power systems, maintaining adherence and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Supports the Hospital s snow removal efforts, including the utilization of manpower, equipment and supplies and outside contractors. Serves as the Engineering Department liaison. May also be called upon to provide Engineering managerial support on a wide variety of issues.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensures continuous and uninterrupted provision of services through careful coordination of manpower and resources.

Performs other duties as assigned

Coordinates and monitors the work of the Electrical shop, as well as outside contractors with a strong emphasis on efficiency, quality, and safety.

Identifies and reviews the educational and training needs of the Electrical shop staff. Oversees the procurement of shop supplies, tools and materials.

Manages the hospitals electrical panel schedules and one line drawings and make updates as changes are made.

Reviews and complies with all NFPA and NEC testing requirements including TJC, NYSDOH, and local building codes.

Interviews and recommendations applicants for hire. Monitors and evaluates the overall performance and competency of Electrical Shop personnel and ensures employee compliance with all Hospital and Departmental policies. Counsels and disciplines staff. May make recommendations for termination as necessary.

Identifies, develops, implements and monitors standard operating procedures and work assignments as well as

ongoing corrective and preventive maintenance of all related equipment and systems. Continuously monitors

conditions and identifies opportunities to make improvements in the overall function of the Electrical Shop.

Ensures that all permit-related work is documented and periodically inspected and reviewed for proper installation

and compliance with all pertinent codes and regulations. Maintains all associated records.

Serves as the Engineering Department liaison with the appropriate service contractors, including elevator

equipment service and fire alarm system and outside electrical contractors. Ensure that all necessary repairs,

testing and inspections are being properly performed in accordance with the contractual and industry standards

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED-. Bachelors Degree In related field.
9 - 11 years Experience in electrical contracting or construction. (Equivalent Military or Merchant Marine experience will be considered). 1 - 2 years Progressive supervisory and managerial experience, preferably in a unionized physical plant setting. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills Proficient in the use of computer (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint). Able to demonstrate knowledge of all pertinent codes and regulations. Able to read and follow technical documents, manuals, drawings, schematics, specifications and blueprints. Knowledgeable and skilled in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, generators and all associated systems

Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Electrician / Professional Certifications / Registration: Indicate special certifications that are required or preferred for the position Current NYS certification in the operation, maintenance and repair of fire alarm and/or fire sprinkler systems. Knowledgeable, and skilled in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, generators and all associated systems.

The salary range for the role is $102,610.25 - $173,168.59 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
