Job Overview

The Labor Strategies Coordinator supports the objectives of the Labor Strategies department by managing administrative functions related to collective bargaining agreements and partnering closely with colleagues across Human Resources.

What You Will Do



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for unions on administrative matters, including reporting, compensation questions, and other non-grievance issues.
  • Act as the primary contact for trade union fund payments and audits, investigating discrepancies and coordinating resolution with Payroll.
  • Support the Labor Strategies team in resolving payroll, timekeeping, leave of absence, and related inquiries and grievances by researching issues and coordinating solutions with appropriate partners.
  • Establish and maintain processes for implementing wage adjustments for unions not supported by the Compensation COE.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely administration of contractual obligations related to benefit fund rate changes and other negotiated rate changes, including supper money and similar payments.
  • Establish and maintain processes for TIA and sick pay adjustments for unions not supported by HR Services.
  • Maintain responsibility for union benefit fund reporting, including dues and pension reports, status reports, union affiliation and seniority reports, and union fund payments; prepare additional reports as required.
  • Manage union associate processing related to dues authorization cards and ongoing reporting, including active union membership and dues-paying member lists.
  • Maintain ownership of outplacement processes, policies, and administrative requirements; serve as the primary contact for outplacement services.
  • Participate in grievance meetings in partnership with the Contract Management team.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the technical and administrative requirements of all collective bargaining agreements and memorandums of agreement.
  • Support the Labor Strategies team in implementing new initiatives and special projects by creating reports and providing operational expertise.
  • Provide administrative support for arbitrations, agency charges, negotiations, store closures, outplacement activities, and other legal proceedings.
  • Coordinate and manage additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned, including recordkeeping, data tracking, and meeting preparation.
  • Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.


Skills You Will Need

Labor Relations & Contract Administration: Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and memorandums of agreement, with the ability to manage administrative requirements, contractual rate changes, and union-related processes.

Union & Stakeholder Partnership: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve as a primary point of contact for unions and partner effectively with Payroll, HR Services, Compensation COE, Contract Management, and other cross-functional teams.

Compliance & Attention to Detail: Ability to manage sensitive data with accuracy and confidentiality while ensuring compliance with labor agreements, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Process Management & Problem Solving: Proven ability to establish, document, and maintain processes for wage adjustments, benefit fund changes, TIA and sick pay, and other union-specific requirements; skilled in researching issues and identifying practical solutions.

Reporting & Data Management: Experience preparing and maintaining union benefit fund reports, dues and pension reports, seniority and affiliation tracking, audits, and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Project & Multi-Task Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, special projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, including supporting arbitrations, negotiations, store closures, and other labor-related proceedings.

Systems & Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with working knowledge of PeopleSoft and other HR/payroll systems; comfortable managing data tracking and reporting.

Organizational Agility & Influence: Ability to work effectively in a dual reporting structure, build partnerships, and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Professionalism & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the Labor Strategies team professionally in meetings, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply. 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Labor Relations.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
