Job Summary: The Experienced Associate ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Advisory is responsible for data collection, modeling, valuation, and analysis work on phase I feasibility projects but also for supporting phase II transaction execution. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: project management, data analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, valuation of closely held businesses, leveraged buy-out modeling, pro-forma income statement and balance sheet creation, creation of Confidential Information Memorandums, creation of document request lists, creation of client deliverables and assisting with marketing materials. Job Duties: Financial Modeling
- Modeling assignments will vary by project but will focus on our valuation and leveraged buy-out models
- Organizes data for ad-hoc projected related modeling
Tax, Accounting and Structuring
- Assists the team with researching how best to optimize the ESOP structure for the client; ESOP accounting and tax consulting are a main component of phase I feasibility work
Data Collection and Analysis
- Collects and analyzes data
- Adjusts project work based on client sophistication and/or needs is key to success in this role
- Analyzes various industries to assist in the creation of the Confidential Information Memorandums ("CIM")
Project and Client Management
- Manages timelines while managing expectations of client and Vice Presidents/Directors/Managing Directors
- Collaborates with associates and interns to achieve project deadlines
- Communicates in a clear, concise, and professional manner with colleagues and clients who will be owners and/or C-level executives
Other duties as required:
- Creates client deliverables in PowerPoint
- Assists with marketing materials
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists in development of ESOP advisory associates/interns to enhance professional development
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting, required
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or an MBA, preferred
Experience:
- One (1) or more years of work experience in ESOP sell side advisory, ESOP trustee buy side, investment banking, valuation, accounting, and/or strategic service consulting, required
License/Certifications:
- CPA or CFA, preferred
- FINRA Series 79, 63, 7, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, preferred
- Power BI and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), preferred
- Experience with financial modeling and experience conducting financial analysis in Excel, preferred
- Advanced experience using Excel to manipulate data in client related projects, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $100,000 - $120,000
Maryland Range: $100,000 - $120,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $120,000
