Your Impact

As a Product Owner focused on financial services, you will be at the center of delivery-directing and delivering the daily activities of an agile engineering pod and ensuring the success of the key products that power clients' finance organizations.

You will:



  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate financial process or regulatory requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Facilitate daily engineering pod activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Write, review, and accept user stories, ensuring requirements are clear, testable, and aligned to business outcomes and compliance needs.
  • Collaborate with the Testing Management Office (TMO) to coordinate test data setup, ensure test coverage, and validate that user acceptance criteria are met.
  • Lead defect remediation-working with engineers, end users, and the TMO to triage, prioritize, and resolve defects efficiently.
  • Plan and prioritize next-quarter technical builds, balancing resiliency and infrastructure needs with user-driven feature enhancements.
  • Manage competing priorities and drive trade-off discussions to maintain delivery velocity and product quality.
  • Track and report progress against sprint goals, KPIs, and release timelines.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to ensure adherence to agile best practices and delivery excellence.


Your Experience

Minimum Qualifications



  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile software delivery environment.
  • 5+ years of client-facing experience in professional services and/or the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating daily agile ceremonies and managing engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to author and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and defect workflows using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience coordinating with testing functions (QA/TMO) and supporting UAT cycles.
  • Exposure to finance or accounting systems (Close & Consolidation, FP&A, Treasury, Order to Cash).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven prioritization decisions.


Preferred Qualifications



  • MBA or advanced degree in Business or Technology.
  • Relevant Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
  • Experience with financial data systems, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks (SOX, GAAP, IFRS).
  • Understanding of cloud-based financial applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in financial services (AI, machine learning, intelligent automation).
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between the range below. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.
