Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Downtown Los Angeles office. You would support our civil engineering team with site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and site utility design. The successful candidate will have a desire to work and grow with a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • 0-1 years of professional civil engineering experience
  • Multiple years of undergraduate internship experience in civil engineering
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Self-starter, persistent, and able to follow through in a consistent manner
  • Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Approximate Base Salary: $74,000 - $80,000 annually
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution
  • This position is not available for sponsorship.
Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, earthwork calculations, preparation and processing of public improvement and grading plans
  • Experience coordinating with a multi-discipline design team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
