Overview

The Construction Project Manager in the Project Management Office (PMO) within Capital Infrastructure Delivery (CID) leads largescale capital infrastructure projects from planning through closeout. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and all safety protocols. The role requires leading crossfunctional teams, managing project resources, and ensuring clear, consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for large capital projects.
  • Lead end to end delivery of capital projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
  • Deliver consistently clear, concise updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Adhere to CPMO standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and review Project Budgets/Current Working Estimates (CWEs) for all assigned projects.
  • Track KPIs, financial performance, and project milestones; ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Drive cross department collaboration and foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, cost discipline, and customer focus.
  • Manage and provide direction to the project team, applying bestpractice leadership and managerial capabilities.
  • Create knowledge transfer framework for career path development.
  • Maintain consistent on-site field and office presence to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree and Minimum of 6 years' work experience including at least 1 year in a corporate environment. or
  • Bachelor's Degree Construction Management, Engineering, Business or other related field and Minimum of 8 years' work experience including 2 to 5 years in a corporate environment.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Lead end to end delivery of capital infrastructure projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, risk management, and closeout, in alignment with CPMO standards and corporate policies, required.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, forecasts, and Current Working Estimates (CWEs); track KPIs, financial performance, and project milestones to ensure accurate, consistent reporting and documentation, required.
  • Implement process improvements, leverage technology solutions, and apply lessons learned and best practices to strengthen project delivery and enhance future outcomes, required.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross functional teams, manage resources, facilitate regular project meetings, and provide clear, timely communication to internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders, required.
  • Drive cross department collaboration and foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, cost discipline, and customer focus, required.
  • Maintain consistent onsite presence to monitor progress, ensure safety and quality compliance, and proactively resolve issues, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams, exercise sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and effectively resolve conflicts, required.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, strategic, critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills, required.
  • At least three years of managerial or supervisory experience, required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) and project scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project), preferred.
  • Master's Degree, preferred.
  • Project Management coursework or certification (CAPM, PMP, Construction PM, etc.), preferred.
  • Knowledge of electric Transmission and Distribution systems, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands

  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in field, office, and remote environments as needed.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
