Overview Construction Business Services (CBS) is seeking a driven and resourceful individual to join its dynamic and expanding team within its Permit Applications section located in East View. The Permit Applications team supports the company's permitting needs in Westchester. The ideal candidate for this role will be customer-focused, agile, a self-starter, comply with all procedures and be highly organized. This individual must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain a high level of personal accountability.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Effectively support Con Edisons Permit Management operations within Westchester Municipalities, working with groups including Gas Operations, Electric Operations, Engineering, and different Municipalities.
- Review permit applications thoroughly and promptly to ensure that supporting documentation including layouts are complete and accurate.
- Develop and foster strong stakeholder relationships within Con Edisons internal organizations and the Municipalities. Respond to inquiries from stakeholders timely and with accuracy.
- Review permit invoices to ensure fees are calculated properly and for the right work location.
- Prepare monthly permit accruals and analysis reports and comply with all accrual procedures.
- Conduct meetings with internal organizations and Municipalities for work coordination purposes.
- Coordinate and attend field meets with the Municipalities and operating areas.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules of each Municipality, NY State DOT, and other State agencies as required.
- Develop reports/presentations and routinely communicate with customer groups regarding performance and necessary improvement areas.
- Lead initiatives to enhance efficiencies in the permitting process. Identify and execute strategic opportunities to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.
- Provide support for the Section Manager and Director as needed.
- Must comply with the Companys safety, health and environmental programs.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 Years Relevant Experience or
- Associate's Degree 4 Years Relevant Experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and can effectively interact with customers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and various levels of management. Required
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines. Required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Required
- Must possess strong leadership skills, ability to initiate and champion change, and influence others to improve work practices/processes. Required
- At least one year experience with a municipality, NYC DOT, or agencies. Preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI, Oracle EBS, CworX, and agility to learn other systems. Preferred

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The selected candidate must be able to travel to various locations throughout the Companys service territory as needed.
