OUR OPENING

Journey Group is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to join our Human Resources team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In this role, you will lead the administration and strategy of our compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance programs. You will play a key role in attracting, retaining, and supporting employees while helping implement and optimize our HRIS platform in a multi-state environment. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources and partners closely with leadership across the organization.


WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A TOTAL REWARDS MANAGER?

  • Manage compensation programs, salary structures, and market benchmarking
  • Advise leaders and recruiters on competitive offers, promotions, and pay adjustments
  • Administer bonus, incentive, and variable compensation programs
  • Oversee health, dental, vision, wellness, and retirement benefit programs
  • Manage 401(k) administration and vendor relationships
  • Lead benefits enrollment, employee education, and ongoing communications
  • Ensure accurate and compliant multi-state payroll operations
  • Lead implementation of the company's HRIS platform
  • Streamline and automate compensation, benefits, and payroll processes
  • Develop employee-facing total rewards materials and documentation
  • Monitor labor laws and ensure regulatory compliance (EEO-1, 5500, etc.)
  • Partner with leadership to continuously improve total rewards programs


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION NEEDED

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on total rewards experience in a multi-state environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience as an HRIS superuser is required; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
  • CCP certification preferred; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP a plus
  • Valid driver's license and insurability

  • Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance regulations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Adaptable and proactive in improving processes and systems
  • Sound judgment and ability to work independently
