LPN-Internal Medicine Clinic (Full-Time) Days-Novi

Henry Ford Park Internal Medicine - Novi Suite 505 offers primary care and chronic disease management for adults. Internal medicine doctors treat diseases that commonly affect adults as they age. We deliver care for conditions such as high blood pressure or cholesterol, arthritis and headaches. Your doctor helps you manage your medications, recommend screenings, and provides referrals to specialists.

Internal Medicine

Internists (doctors of internal medicine) are trained to treat many medical problems adults face. From minor illnesses to chronic diseases, they get to know your personal medical history and evaluate how you respond to treatments.

Internists evaluate injuries and make sure you get important health screenings when necessary. They encourage lifestyle changes needed to preserve your health. Internists also manage the care of patients who have several medical problems at the same time.

If and when your internist refers you to a specialist such as a cardiologist, endocrinologist or surgeon, he or she will oversee and coordinate your care -- all with your well-being in mind.

Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the assessment of patients and assures the well-being of patients.
• Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services.
• Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.
• There are 6 providers at this busy location -Each provider has a dedicated MA (This LPN role will not be working with providers unless urgent need arises)
  May be covering front desk if needed (training will be provided)
• Calls come directly to office (not routed to a central call center)-there will be heavy phone work
  This is a cohesive unit with clinical staff having longevity with the unit
• Will be managing prior authorizations for meds and testing.
• Manages forms-(Leave of absences, etc.)
• Floating to floor (as MA) when needed
• LPN's manage phones / covers triage (98% phone-some walk in)

Hours: Monday-Friday No weekends, holidays, on call

Monday & Tuesday 8AM-5PM

Wednesday & Thursday 8AM-4PM

Friday 8AM-3PM
