Job Title: Quality System Support Technician Rate: $20.73-24.49 p/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will provide end of line support to the Quality department. The individual is responsible for inspecting, measuring, and testing parts, components, processes, sub-assemblies, and completed products which can occur in-process, or in audit inspection. The individual is responsible for reporting results to management through the use of turn-in sheets and electronic documentation.

Other responsibilities may include the following: Maintaining, calibrating, and utilizing measuring equipment or other sophisticated inspection equipment. Using, calibrating, and maintaining standard inspection or test equipment. Conducting and documenting detailed inspections and measurements to satisfy customer or internal inspections requirements. Performing process and Internal Quality systems audits. Comparing the inspection, measurement, and test results to engineering drawings and specifications to determine conformance. Recording results on to Process control Logs, Dimensional Control Logs, Major Characteristics Forms, inspection tags, statistical charts, calculation sheets, and other required forms or databases.

The primary responsibility of this position will be running the end-of-line test equipment and final inspection, which include the following:
* Setup and use of existing test equipment
o Accurate placement and engagement of test pods and sensors
o Changing of Helium tanks required
* Visually inspecting against specs and blue print requirements
* Troubleshooting against failed test or found non-conformances
* Performing necessary functions to keep non-conformances from leaving the plant as required by the Quality department

Key Responsibilities
Required Education & Qualifications

Must have a high school degree and a prefer at least one year manufacturing experience.
2. Read blueprints and specifications.
3. Strong computer skills especially in Excel and Word.
4. Individual will have technical knowledge and good communications skills.
5. Strong time management and organization skills; able to work with little direct supervision.
6. Handle multiple documents, and record data for Quality checks.
7. Applicant must be detail orientated and be comfortable making go no-go decisions during processing and final inspection.
8. Assist production, as required, in the completion of product.

NOTE: Vacancies will be awarded to the most qualified candidate taking into consideration work record, attendance, safety, interviews, seniority, and testing (if warranted). Employees who have been suspended within the last year will be disqualified from the promotional opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be qualified to perform the duties of the occupation in accordance with Quality and quantity standards and to perform the physical, mental, and visual requirements of the job in a safe and efficient manner. Applicant must possess the needed communication skills to work closely with both the Quality Department and Production Team.

This testing shall include the following items:
o Excel based test
* Data entry and sorting
* Charting - Graphical and Pivot Table
* Conditional Formatting of values
o Critical thinking and understanding
* Review of Print and Specs
* Question of condition of part vs print (provided at time of testing)
* Choosing correct spec for product (provided at time of testing)
* Reasoning for answer

Attendance records will be evaluated as good attendance is a requirement for placement of this position.
