Description Seeking a hands-on Electronics Technician with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. This role involves supporting GE Aerospace test labs, maintaining automatic test equipment, and collaborating with engineers to ensure mission-critical systems operate flawlessly. Self-starter who enjoys working with oscilloscopes, soldering irons, and diagnostic tools. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve issues on automatic test equipment and jet engine control systems. Respond to problem reports from GE engineers and restore systems to operational status. Perform preventative maintenance and support one-off engineering projects. Read and interpret schematics; troubleshoot electronic circuits and communication buses. Collaborate with team members on complex hardware/software integration tasks. Utilize diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, bus monitors, voltmeters) and perform soldering when needed. Participate in design and prototype builds for specialized aerospace equipment. Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on technical work experience (electronics, networking, or related fields). Ability to read schematics and identify components (resistors, diodes, transistors). Familiarity with diagnostic tools and basic soldering skills. U.S. Citizenship (due to government security requirements). Clean background check; willingness to work on secure projects Preferred Attributes Strong mechanical aptitude and DIY mindset (e.g., comfortable changing your own oil, home projects). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly. Team-oriented personality with flexibility to handle both simple and complex tasks. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal bureaucracy. Ability to adapt to client-driven processes while maintaining high standards.
