Essential Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant position focused on capitalized software, construction in progress (CIP) and fixed assets accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and the company's global policy. This role will build and maintain key accounting schedules, ensure accurate amortization and reconciliation processes, and partner closely with IT and other cross-functional teams to validate capitalizable costs and support project reviews. The Senior Accountant will also assist with month-end close, audits, process improvements, and system enhancements involving asset tracking and capitalization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.


* Develop a standardized capitalized software accounting process aligned with U.S. GAAP (ASC 350-40) and the company's global capitalization policy.
* Build and maintain capitalized software schedules, including amortization entries and monthly reconciliations.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to review project details, assess capitalizable costs, and ensure proper accounting.
* Review fixed assets additions, disposal and depreciation entries for accuracy and compliance, while enhancing reconciliation processes for improved reliability and control.
* Support internal and external audit requests and provide required documents.
* Work with other departments on accounting related projects and issues
* Support process improvement, automation initiatives related to assets tracking and capitalization
* Assist in preparing clear, accurate executive-level reports for leadership
* Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
* Minimum two years of direct experience in capitalized software accounting and fixed assets accounting
* Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially in ASC 350-40 and ASC360
* Proficiency in creating schedules and preparing accurate reconciliations
* Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suite; experience with IFS and Blackline preferred
* Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment.

Work environment:
* Exposure to computer screens.
* Required hybrid in-office work schedule.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
* Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
