Reporting to the Sr Manager, DevOps this position is responsible for maintaining Nutrien cloud infrastructure and supporting the teams that have applications deployed to the cloud.


What You'll Do:

  • Focus is on project-specific tasks, with the ability to independently break down tasks in the context of larger product requirements.
  • May mentor and coach Associate Cloud Engineers or perform KTs within the CE team.
  • Contributes to the technical quality of deliverables by sharing best practices and providing code/PR and infrastructure reviews.
  • Participates in agile software engineering practices including story sizing, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives as required.
  • Participates in collaboration efforts within and outside the CE team to fully understand requirements and constraints to be able to successfully complete assigned stories.
  • Recognizes process and technical deficiencies and proposes improvements.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Specialized Training, 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Cloud Engineering with one or more cloud vendor's services (AWS, Heroku, Google).
  • Must have a working knowledge of Terraform/IAC, GIT, Bash, YAML, etc.
  • Should have experience with containers, Dockerfiles, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, helm, and/or other related technologies.
  • Nice to have development experience with a programming language such as Python, Golang, etc.
  • Complexity: Deals with straightforward, well defined problem.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $95,700 - $164,100. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
