Provides financial, administrative, and clerical support within the Accounting/Finance department. Responsible for review and processing of invoices, provider payments, voids and reissues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: 1. One (1) year of clerical experience or two (2) courses in accounting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Associates Degree in Business or related field. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Compiles and processes accounts payable, maintains day to day payment cycle, and provides efficient customer service. 2. Verify approval on all payment requests. 3. Process payments to contracted providers for claims submitted to and processed by the Claims Operations department. 4. Resolves problems associated with payables transactions. 5. Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. 6. Provides accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the Accounts Payable function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures, and any federal regulations (if applicable). 7. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. 8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. 9. Maintains historical records by imaging and filing documents.
