What You Will Do at Noble The Sr. Project Logistics Specialist provides strategic and operational leadership for domestic and international project logistics activities. This role is accountable for ensuring logistics execution aligns with project schedules, financial objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The position exercises independent judgment, leads to cross functional coordination, manages logistics partners, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics function. - Provide end-to-end ownership of logistics activities for assigned projects, ensuring on time delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with customer and business requirements.
- Apply independent judgment in evaluating transportation options, vendor capabilities, shipping methods, and scheduling tradeoffs to meet project and financial objectives.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including export documentation, HTS classification, Incoterms, and other applicable requirements.
- Oversee preparation, review, and approval of shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead freight audit processes, analyzing carrier invoices for accuracy, classification, and cost optimization; resolve discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, Design, Quality, Accounting, and external vendors to align logistics plans with project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Evaluate logistics vendor performance and participate in vendor selection, qualification, and performance management activities.
- Manage customer shipping requirements and determine feasibility of requested schedules, proactively identifying risks and recommending alternative solutions when necessary.
- Review planned requisitions, approve logistics related purchase orders, and monitor open orders to ensure financial and operational alignment.
- Develop shipping cost estimates for future projects and validate final costs at time of shipment.
- Lead logistics related month end activities in collaboration with vendors and Accounting.
- Monitor and report logistics performance metrics and KPIs; analyze trends and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify logistics processes and improve ease of doing business for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements.
What Noble is looking for!
- 5+ years of project logistics or coordination experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and documentation
- Experience working with freight forwarders and international carriers
- Minimum of 3 years of ocean and air consolidation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

What are the physical demands and work environment?
- Mental- Requires a high degree of concentration intermittently to compile reports and analyze data approximately 50% of time; periods of mental effort and concentration followed by other aspects of the job with lesser concentration and attention requirements.
- Physical- Requires walking/standing approximately 20%, sitting approximately 80%and lifting up to 15 lbs. approximately 1% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 10% of time.
- Manual Dexterity- Requires use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate computers, copy machine and other general office equipment and to record written information.
- Audible Demands- Requires ability to hear verbal instructions and to communicate with internal departments and outside sources in person and via telephone.
- Visual Demands -Requires ability to read written instructions, correspondence and other documentation as well as operate office equipment such as computers and printers. Color and depth perception not necessary.
- Environmental- Requires capability of performing essential job functions in an established office environment under lighting and climate control tolerances. Noise level is moderate.
