In the role of Washington Water Marketing Services Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise proposal and marketing staff, including hiring, onboarding, workload management, and professional development.
  • Apply HDR's go/no-go process and oversee capture planning to shape win strategies, key messaging, and pursuit direction.
    Guide teams in developing compliant, persuasive proposal and interview materials, including schedules, quality reviews, and interview coaching.
  • Engage and coordinate appropriate marketing services resources across all pursuits in the Washington WBG.
  • Build scalable processes, workflows, tools, and templates (including AI enabled solutions) to improve marketing and proposal efficiency.
  • Facilitate debriefs, track competitiveness, and celebrate pursuit milestones and successes.
  • Support strategic planning, growth initiatives, client plans, and business development relationship-building (including teaming partners).
  • Develop marketing collateral, digital content, thought leadership pieces, and brand elevating campaigns, including conference and association engagement.
  • Manage CRM and financial systems to support reporting, dashboards, and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate internal communications, meetings, photography, branded materials, and other marketing or business development needs as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field: Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications.
  • Deep knowledge of A/E/C industry procurement and professional services.
  • 10+ years leading or managing proposal efforts or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven self starter with a record of delivering high quality work with limited oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire teams in fast paced, deadline driven environments.
  • Experience in sales and developing effective capture and win strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.
  • Demonstrated success securing high value contracts and writing compelling content based on technical input.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign
  • Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person
  • Demonstrated experience in winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industry
  • Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff
