What will I do as an Immigration Attorney?

Our Attorneys provides legal counsel, referrals, representation, and assistance for those that society often sees as the "stranger" in our midst. We serve newcomers to the U.S. who are seeking to become citizens or reunify with family members living in the United States, individuals trying to secure asylum or temporary protection in the U.S., and immigrant victims of domestic violence.

  • Works with newcomers to our country who are seeking to become citizens, or reunify with family members living in the United States.
  • Engage in immigration legal practice, including client consultation and representation, and legal research as directed, and according to the Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Provide consultations on immigration issues. Assess cases for appropriate legal services; provide referrals as needed.
  • Prepare inadmissibility waivers and asylum applications.
  • Represent clients before the USCIS



Salary: $65,000 - $72,000 DOE

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited law school and have a valid license to practice law in Wisconsin.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • Prior immigration law practice experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player with a passion for developing and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both in. Able to tactfully address confidential matters efficiently and discretely.
