Bulk Line Team Lead Night Shift

Job Summary:

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Team Lead for the Bulk line based out of our Humboldt facility. The Team Lead is responsible for managing, directing and assisting personnel tasked with the production of cheese products on our Bulk line. The Team lead is also responsible of ensuring all documentation is maintained and verified as well as all processing tasks are completed (start up, runtime, shutdown, cleaning).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist production supervisor(s) with managing production lines and personnel
• Provide assistance to machine operators as necessary (changeovers, breaks, downtime issues, etc)
• Coordinate personnel assignments as needed
• Safe operation of high-pressure hoses
• Become trained and knowledgeable about all GMP and HACCP guidelines
• Obtain certification on Powered Industrial Trucks
• Learn ROSS systems
• Respond to personnel issues with impartiality and confidentiality
• Train, Coach and Mentor members of the Bulk line production crew
• Maintain HACCP verification paperwork for audits
• Work in a safe and proficient manner
• Report all food safety and quality problems to immediate supervisor or designated backup
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous Lead experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Excellent Math and Reading skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other Quality guidelines
• Must maintain highest quality standards for plant and equipment cleanliness
• Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Schedule:

• Night Shift 5:00pm to 5:00am Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday
