Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx has two commercial products approved in the United States, IBSRELA (tenapanor) and XPHOZAH (tenapanor). Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.

Position Summary:
Ardelyx is searching for a strategic and analytical thinker for an important role as an integral member of the Commercial Strategy team. The Commercial Strategy Analyst will be responsible for providing data analytics, market assessments, and Commercial opinions on potential therapeutic assets and programs. This individual will also support the work of the team by analyzing prescription and revenue data, and articulating trends and insights. Analytical thinking, strong project management, and a creative can-do approach are a must. This role will report to the Senior Director, Global Marketing and New Product Development while working in a cross-functional matrix environment.
The candidate will interface and build collaborative working relationships across functions, including Commercial Analytics, Business Development, R&D, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Finance, Compliance and Legal teams. The successful Commercial decisions made by the organization will be dependent upon the analytic deliverables, research, and guidance provided by this individual.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess and analyze potential internal and external market opportunities for Ardelyx
  • Gather data, information, and insights, develop strategies, and build and execute on tactical plans to ensure effective Commercial decision-making
  • Provide data analytics, commercial opinions, and market assessments on potential therapeutic targets and programs
  • Build strong, open and collaborative working relationships across Ardelyx functions
  • Maintain industry awareness regarding market trends, competition, product acceptance, and new product release
  • Maintain expert knowledge of available databases, online resources, and secondary data available to the pharmaceutical industry
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred, with 5+ years' experience working in life-science-related data analytics, market landscape assessment, consulting and/or forecasting or equivalent experience
  • Direct experience with life sciences data sets including IQVIA, Symphony, and/or claims data
  • Strong verbal, written, PowerPoint and Excel communication skillsets
  • Extremely detail oriented & demonstrate problem solving/resolution skills
  • Aptitude to compile, analyze and present data in a concise manner and translate analysis into actionable insights and recommendations in both written and oral contexts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and work independently in a lean, dynamic, and nimble environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities
  • Capability to work on multiple projects and meet timelines
  • Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to develop rapport and credibility with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $122,000-$150,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
