Job Summary:

The Associate Director - CMC Strategic Projects will be responsible for developing the strategy for and execution of the CMC Alumni Student Connect (ASC) program and Kellogg Internship Stipend programs in additional to serving as the CMC's driver of innovation through technology.

For ASC: they will identify and recruit alumni experts to provide industry advice to students through one on one advising sessions and one to many educational programs focusing on current MBA employment trends and Kellogg student interests. Works in partnership with the CMC coaching and employer relations team to build programs to support students industry readiness in common and emerging business sectors.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Own the CMC's ASC Program. Responsibilities include advisor management, marketing and communications for the program, monitoring program metrics and working with Operations team to manage smooth operations of the program and partnering with ADR on alumni recruitment
  • Associate Director owns the Kellogg Internship stipend program from launch to execution of payments. Work involves coordinating with centers and stakesholders across the school in support of creating a stipend process that benefits students seeking internships.
  • Works with CMC Leadership team on strategic projects to benefit the student careers experience. Projects include analyzing processes, conducting focus groups, reviewing data and making recommendations to improve students and employer processes. Requires cross CMC and cross department engagement.
  • Recruit ASC as well as alumni speakers to deepen CMC expertise and reach into specialized industries. Bring outside expertise to the CMC.
  • Represents the CMC and works collaboratively across Kellogg departments (Alumni Relations, Admissions, EMBA, E&W, Global Programs) to enable shared interests and identify areas of partnership work including student onboarding, Tech initiatives such as CMC KAI and canvas launchpad, international student support and new program development. Creates needed events and programs.
  • Selected project work for Associate Dean of Degree Operations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years business experience

  • A bachelor's degree of the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

  • Experienced in career development, alumni relations, corporate partnerships or corporate talent development.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & oral), presentation, analytical, organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to foster position relationships with multiple, diverse stakeholders and to influence and share change.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Proven self-starter with team orientation.

  • Proven ability to set strategy and execute new programs and initiatives.

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Strong technical skills. Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Proven ability to embrace and learn new software.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms

  • Familiarity with smartsheets and data visualization tools (power BI or Tableau) a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Higher Education

  • Demonstrated experience in a student centric environment

  • Demonstrated project management experience

Target hiring range for this position will be $87,000 - $97,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
