Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols across an assigned location, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and deliver customer service while working as part of a team that acts with integrity. This post requires Level III Armed Certification in Texas.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public emergency services when required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, labs, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, monitor access points, and verify credentials for authorized entry while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
