As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols on foot and by vehicle, stay highly visible, and report security-related concerns with clear, professional communication. You will support shipping and receiving activity, assist employees and visitors, and help maintain smooth site operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or public services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for employees, visitors, and drivers, including checking credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing traffic flow when needed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate shift activity to the next officer, and use radios, phones, and/or other systems to support site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of a high school diploma/GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
