Job Description

Using project management best practices, the Project Lead develops and manages the technical, financial, and administrative aspects of a non-complex or small portfolio to ensure they are administered and implemented in a manner consistent with CRDF Global and funder objectives.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Plansand executes projects using project management best practicesfor scope of work development,deliverable management,schedule management,risk management, change management,monitoring and evaluation,andidentificationand resolution of issues and lessons learned.
  • Develops and manages project budgets;coordinates with pricing and functional teams to price budgets,conductslabor and other direct costforecasting,andleadsfinancialriskand changemanagementprocesses.
  • Manages customer, technical expert, and internationalstakeholder relationshipsand networks on behalf of the program.
  • Leadstechnical and financial reporting of projects to meet the stated project, program, and agreementobjectives.
  • Develops concepts and new project ideas as part ofcapture andproposal development process.
  • Represents program or projects at external events.
  • Supports other programs and staff, as required.
  • Travels within the U.S. and internationally as appropriate (0-15%).
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • 3+ yearsexperience managingprojects with components includingany of the following:internationalworkshops, trainings, conferences,study tours,fellowships,webinars/remotetraining,or similar capacity-building efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree in relatedfield.Master'sdegree or PMP certificationpreferred.
  • Previousexperience supportingU.S. Government clients, particularlythe U.S.Department of State (DOS), preferred.
  • Familiaritypreferredwithinternational nonproliferation,counter-proliferation, WMD threat reduction, advanced and emerging technologies,or similar issues.
  • Demonstrates strongcustomer relationship management,communication, diplomatic, and negotiating skills and good judgment.
  • Excellent organizationalskills,ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibits strong writing and proposal development skills.
  • Familiarity with other countries and cultures, ability to work withinmatrixedglobal team.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and ability to work with more advanced software, such as MicrosoftProjectis preferred.
