Back 2d Safety Manager #6509 Conway, Arkansas, United States Apply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description Job Title: Safety Manager Location: 480 Exchange Ave., Conway Reports to: VP - Logistics FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time Position Summary The Safety Manager is to ensure everyone in the company complies with Health and safety laws. You will be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace. As a safety manager you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You will be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.. Primary responsibilities: Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines Prepare enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention and document in company compliance systems Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations Investigate accidents or incidents and near misses and document in company compliance systems Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics in monthly and annual reporting system for company and state Work closely with company safety team, managers and supervisors. Requisition Number 6509 Shift First Qualification Essential Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as safety manager minimal 3-5 years Working knowledge of Worker Compensation laws and practices Understanding of OSHA guidelines Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment Excellent organization skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to conduct training to large groups Excellent Microsoft, Excel and ability to learn systems.
