Position Overview

The Global FP&A and Reporting Senior Manager is a critical leadership role within the Corporate Finance team, serving as a key partner to the Global FP&A Director with increasing ownership of enterprise-level financial insights, executive messaging and decision support. This role owns the integrity, insight and executive-level storytelling of Hexion's global financial performance to Company leaders, Hexion's private equity owners and the Board of Directors.



This role is designed as a director-track position, and requires strong financial acumen, executive presence and the ability to influence business and financial leaders across the globe.



Frequent interaction with Hexion leadership, including the Financial Leadership team (FLT) and the Executive Leadership team (ELT), and close partnership with business FP&A teams to develop business and market insights and deliver clear executive summaries of results and projections is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own preparation of monthly management financial reports, developing clear, concise, and decision-oriented insights from global financial results; facilitate review with the FLT prior to distribution to Company leaders
  • Lead consolidation, analysis, and interpretation of global results, including monthly EBITDA bridges and forecasts
  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate finance and business FP&A teams regarding key reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting deliverables
  • Challenge assumptions from business units and functions to improve forecast quality and transparency
  • Drive oversight and coordinate the annual budget process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and expectations
  • Own preparation and review of the finance sections of multiple presentations with the FLT, most notably the monthly sales and operations planning deck, the monthly American Securities operating report, and quarterly Board of Directors presentations
  • Lead ad hoc analysis of global Hexion and business unit financial results to support executive decision making
  • Track competitive and end-market trends and KPI's
  • Identify, evaluate and propose initiatives to enhance FP&A processes, reporting automation, and analytical tools.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills



  • Established ability to organize, interpret and validate data, and communicate results in a clear, concise way for a mixed audience where not all possess financial acumen
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders through clear, confident communication and sound financial judgment
  • Ability to maintain a focus on the "big picture" (total Hexion and/or business segments) while analyzing scenarios at a product-group, or market segment level
  • Self-motivated and able to perform effectively with minimal direct supervision
  • Effective communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, project management, organizational and problem-solving skills



Minimum Qualifications



  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including FP&A
  • Advanced Excel and complex financial modeling expertise
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to multidimensional reporting tools (e.g., WDesk, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, consolidation systems)
  • Experience operating in a global, multi-business, multi-national, or private equity backed environment strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to speak up, challenge constructively, and influence discussions at the senior level



Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA preferred
