Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. Position Summary The Project Manager III provides leadership, coordination, and execution oversight for capital and operational projects-often delivered across multiple TCE offices and global workshare partners. This role ensures that project objectives for safety, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction are met while efficiently leveraging distributed teams across IST-CST time zones. The PM III operates within an EPCM environment and is responsible for managing projects up to $150MM TIC, using strong commercial acumen, logicbased scheduling knowledge, and advanced Earned Value Management (EVM) capabilities. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership of assigned projects under general direction of a Project Director. Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Project Procedure Manual, incorporating multioffice/global delivery elements. Establish clear project objectives, communication frameworks, governance structures, and decision-making mechanisms. Lead and coordinate project execution across multiple U.S. offices and global teams operating across time zones. Manage discipline interfaces, handoffs, deliverable sequencing, and collaborative workflows ensuring consistency across offices. Utilize SharePoint, Teams, ACC, and other digital platforms to maintain alignment, documentation, and collaboration. Coach and mentor project team members, fostering a highperformance culture. Define and control project scope; lead structured change management processes. Use logic-based scheduling concepts to work with the dedicated Scheduler (Primavera P6 managed by others) to sequence activities, validate critical paths, and understand schedule impacts. Partner with Project Controls to establish cost controls, forecasts, and progress metrics using EVM methodologies, including Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC). Use Power BI dashboards (as a consumer) to interpret project performance data, communicate insights, and request the needed analytics. Execute projects in compliance with contract requirements, documenting deviations, assumptions, and interpretations. Manage projects under EPCM, Time & Materials (T&M), and Lump Sum commercial models. Contribute to proposals, estimates, and contracting strategies; support or lead negotiations when assigned. Maximize profitability through effective staffing, risk mitigation, scope control, and productivity improvements. Identify and mitigate risks, including those unique to distributed/global delivery (e.g., timezone delays, handoff risks, data integrity). Ensure safe work practices and safe design outcomes in accordance with CDI and client requirements. Maintain ISO9001 compliance and support continuous improvement across all participating offices. Utilize Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration tools to manage workflows and coordinate design deliverables. Ensure data accuracy, security, and traceability across multioffice execution environments. Promote consistent application of digital standards and centralized project data repositories. Serve as a primary point of contact with the client, lead meetings, reviews, and structured communication updates. Build and maintain strong client relationships; drive customer satisfaction and repeat business. Ensure alignment among CDI leadership, functional managers, global delivery partners, and client representatives. Determine project staffing needs across all participating offices; coordinate with functional leaders to assemble the project team. Provide leadership, direction, feedback, and mentoring to team members and discipline leads. Qualifications Capable of planning, organizing and running small projects up to $150MM TIC. Strong experience with distributed/global execution teams. Should have excellent knowledge of all areas of engineering execution, discipline interface, how information flows between disciplines and how to tailor to the project. Excellent knowledge of material management processes across all accounts and all phases of the project life cycle and of construction execution and interfaces with engineering and procurement. Able to perform as a site manager, analyze project controls documents with knowledge across a spectrum of projects. Able to present cost estimates to TCE Management and clients, fully understand and administer U.S. contracts. Can act as head of contract negotiation team, think strategically in terms of positioning TCE to make the maximum profit, act as proposal manager on large projects, prepare and administer business plan including risk mitigation. Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and project forecasting, including ETC/EAC development. Solid understanding of logic-based scheduling and critical path concepts (P6 use not required). Familiarity with SharePoint, MS Teams, Navisworks, ACC, and Power BI dashboards (consumption and interpretation). Shows leadership with regard to automation. Must have demonstrated leadership capability on projects in the office as well as in the field. Possesses excellent communication skills with task force, with client and with CDI management. Has solid presentation skills, excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Is able to make decisions that must be made, however unpopular. Exhibits knowledge and concern regarding personnel development and works to accomplish with leads and supervised employees. Has proven track record of good client relations. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field from a four-year college or university is desired. Fifteen (15) years of experience in the engineering industry, 5 years as Project Manager II. Professional Engineering license preferred, not required. 15 + years of experience in lieu of degree. Experience based on knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify with the approval of Director of Engineering.
