Location Ruston, LA

Salary: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, Mon - Fri

The Payroll and HR Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily administrative, payroll, and human resources functions of a service-based company. This position is responsible for accurate payroll processing, assisting with HR activities, and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling confidential information in a fast-paced service environment. If you thrive at the intersection of payroll precision and employee support, this role is built for you.

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll, HR administration, or office administration
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and employment regulations
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll/HR systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll software (preferred)
  • Familiarity with labor laws and HR compliance (preferred)
  • Background supporting field technicians or service teams (preferred)
  • Experience in a service-based company (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll



  • Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain employee time records, PTO balances, and payroll adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Respond to payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed


Human Resources



  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee changes
  • Track certifications, licenses, and training required for service personnel
  • Assist with HR reporting, policy updates, and compliance requirements
  • Support employee relations inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate


General Administrative Duties



  • Provide administrative support to management and field teams
  • Answer phones, manage emails, and handle general office correspondence
  • Assist with scheduling, reporting, and document preparation
  • Order office supplies and maintain organized office systems
  • Support invoicing, billing, or basic accounting tasks as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll, HR, and company information at all times
