Overview

Brightview Senior Living is growing and we're thrilled to be adding to our team!! Join Brightview Senior Living Home Office as a Regional Dining Services Director! In this role, you'll support dining services across multiple Brightview communities in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York by providing training, coaching, and hands-on assistance to elevate the dining experience for our residents. You'll ensure the consistent execution of Brightview's high standards, fostering exceptional service and culinary excellence.

It is important to note that this individual will frequently travel to communities 4 to 5 days per week.


Responsibilities

  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles ofService, Teamwork, Action, ReputationandSuccessin all activities and interactions.
  • Provide support and direction to dining teams to ensure quality dining experiences in all venues throughout the communities and compliance with Brightview standards.
  • Perform routine site visits to monitor dining operations and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, guidance and training to dining teams; escalate issues to Executive Directors, Corporate Director of Dining Services and/or senior management as appropriate.
  • Train new Dining Services Directors to ensure a thorough onboarding experience and smooth transition to the organization; support in person and remotely as needed until new Directors are able to work independently.
  • Provide targeted intervention, support and recommendations to address dining challenges, resident concerns, poor satisfaction scores and/or other indicators of operational issues; collaborate with Corporate Director of Dining Services as appropriate to resolve issues.
  • Monitor compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and best practices; address deficiencies as appropriate.
  • Participate in quality assurance and One Brightview assessments to monitor community compliance with all Federal, State and BV specific standards, policies and procedures; conduct interim audits to ensure correction of findings and ongoing maintenance of standards.
  • Partner with the Corporate Director of Dining Services to lead the implementation of new programs, initiatives, technologies, policies and procedures to ensure full adoption and consistent execution.
  • Monitor reports related to dining metrics such as raw food costs and labor hours to ensure compliance with Brightview standards; provide guidance and direction to address exceptions.
  • Collaborate with community, regional and senior leadership from all disciplines to identify and execute on opportunities for dining to support overall community operations.
  • Serve as an interim Dining Services Director as needed to cover staffing needs.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of Dining Services Directors and select other positions as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    While there are no direct reports in this position, there is dotted line oversight of Dining Services Directors in assigned portfolio. While acting a supervisory capacity, carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BVSL policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Salary Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years' progressive culinary experience with at least five years in a leadership role. Multi-site and senior living experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business or a related discipline preferred.
  • ServSafe certified.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
  • Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing in a variety of formats and mediums.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and groups; ability to speak persuasively and present information both one-on-one and in front of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to make and support collaborative decisions as well as make decisions independently.
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet based applications.
  • Strong orientation to older adults.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
