What to Expect
The Quality Metrology Technician will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements by performing Dimensional Inspections, using a stationary CMM, of individual components, stampings, castings, and supplier parts.Will be required to adhere to company policies, quality & metrology processes as well as safety requirements. An effective candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They need to be detail oriented and critical thinkers. They must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company. Candidates will also be required to balance multiple projects, utilizing various skill sets in a highly dynamic and diverse working environment. They must be able to work independently, but also be a strong contributor in small and large groups.
What You'll Do
- Operation/programming of stationary CMM equipment to support monitoring of production processes, commissioning of new production and root cause activities
- Experience with PCDMIS, Polyworks/Calypso, CATIA or 3D CAD experience to work with native files as well as STEP and IGES
- Liaise with cross functional teams & oversee the tool and gauge calibration record maintenance
- Understand manufacturing processes for application in measurement study requirements and apply measurement best practices
- Fully understand datum scheme requirements and applications along with GD&T and be able to demonstrate this knowledge
- Utilize metrology equipment to collect tactile and scan data and output detailed reports to communicate key findings
- Perform mechanical inspection of stamping or machined parts or welding parts first off inspection
What You'll Bring
- Must have 3+ years minimum Metrology inspection experience
- Inspection equipment experience: Horizontal or bridge style fixed CMM plus portable CMM (Romer/Faro Arm)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GD&T application, programming in PCDMIS and/or Caligo, plus Polyworks
- Knowledge of working with all conventional inspection tools and gauges such as (but not limited to): Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges, height gauges, pin gauges and JIG and fixtures. Must be able to inspect using conventional surface plate techniques
- Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with CAD: CATIA or 3D CAD
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation
$30.50 - $38.85/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
