Job Title: Laboratory Technician 1

Location(s): Birmingham, AL

Job Summary
The Lab Assistant supports night-shift operations in a manufacturing environment by assisting production and pharmacy staff with logistics, inventory, housekeeping, and administrative tasks. This role is critical to maintaining site cleanliness, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service. Occupational exposure to radiation is part of the role; all required training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, and process radiopharmaceutical products for shipment.
  • Receive, verify, and log incoming materials and returned packages.
  • Assist with inventory management and material storage.
  • Clean and sanitize delivery cases, work areas, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Coordinate courier schedules and shipment documentation.
  • Answer phones and communicate with customers and vendors.
  • Support pharmacy staff with clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Follow GMP, EHS, quality, and radiation safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0+ years of experience.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (most items 65-75 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a radiation environment (training provided).
Nice to Have
  • Logistics or receiving experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Military background.
Work Environment & Training
  • Onsite manufacturing facility.
  • Night-shift schedule.
  • Radiation safety, GMP, and EHS training provided.
Shift:
  • 12:30 AM - 9:00 AM.
