Responsibilities:

The LPN will work under the supervision of RNs and physicians to provide direct patient care, support recovery, and ensure a safe and healing environment for patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical needs. Provides direct patient care in the acute care setting in the inpatient area utilizing various nursing skills and established standards of care at the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:

• *Practical Nursing Formal Education approved by the NM Board of Nursing
• *Licensed Practical Nurse-NM
• *BLS required
• *PDS IV Certification course (within orientation period)
• *Basic Cardiac Arrythmias (BCA) for areas where cardiac telemetry monitoring is used (prior to ACLS)
• *ACLS (within 6 months of being hired) for areas where required
• Licensed Practical Nurse-NM
