Job Description




As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you'll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You'll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they're needed most.

Position Type: Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

    Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident reporting and communication to site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, access points, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, check credentials when directed, and/or verify delivery and service access in accordance with site procedures.
  • Operate and/or observe assigned systems such as radios, phones, and security-related monitoring equipment, and document observations and activities per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Alarm Panel Experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
