Position Title: Cont Edu Prog Mgr Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Cont Edu Prog Mgr Job Duties: The School of Continuing Education (SCE) is the largest provider of professional development in Southeastern Wisconsin, providing year-round lifelong learning through varied venues, including short courses, workshops, and certificate programs. UWM SCE delivers online and blended instruction as well as educational opportunities via traditional classroom interaction in our classrooms in downtown Milwaukee and customized, onsite instruction at business locations and other unique locations throughout the city, region, and country. The SCE is looking for an individual to hire as a Workforce Development Program Manager. This position will work full-time (40 hours per week) onsite at the UWM SCE downtown office. After a probationary period of 6 months, this position will be allowed to work from home one day per week. The Workforce Development (WFD) Program Manager is expected to support SCE's commitment to leading change through competency-based programming, promoting local and global collaborations and introducing innovative programing o remain current with customer needs and changes in the work world. A primary responsibility for WFD Program Manager will be to reach out to employers in corporate and non-profit organizations to identify unmet training needs for business and technical roles. In addition, the WFD Program Manager will identify groups of individuals who are likely to be successful in this training such that they will be excellent candidates for promotions and new jobs. While the focus for this position will be on the creation of new training programs for high demand business and technical jobs in southeastern Wisconsin, the WFD Program Manager may be called upon to support other program areas within SCE. Under general supervision and reporting to the Continuing Education Acting Director, the position leads and supervises all aspects of department programming and is expected to perform a wide variety of complex duties exercising good judgment and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and effectiveness in successfully supporting the delivery of face-to-face and online noncredit courses. Communication and working with the business community, professional organizations, instructors, participants, staff and student workers are critical to the success of the programs. Key Job Responsibilities:
Department: School of Continuing Education Compensation: $54,000 to $58,000 (Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience) Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Eligible to work in the United States Three years of relevant work experience including technology, health and business. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software Ability to maintain flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends when necessary to support programs Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in business, artificial Intelligence, technology, and health industries. Master's degree in related subject matter such as adult education, business, health, and technology. Experience working in higher education environment; adult programming responsibilities a plus Proficient Web Technology skills with documented experience posting and updating website(s); experience with Workday, LLEE, Word Press and/or Canvas software a plus On-line technology experience facilitating programs or large interactive meetings using software such as Teams and Zoom Project Management experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully plan and execute deadline-driven projects with minimal supervision Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills that establish prior experience engaging and building relationships. Experience operating programs that generate revenue to cover program expenses including instructor fees, course materials, and program overhead. Experience monitoring program budgets to maintain positive cash flow. Job Responsibilities:
