Job Summary The Writing and Communication Program (https://wcprogram.lmc.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty member to serve as Associate Director of the Writing and Communication Program, effective August 1, 2026. This is a 12-month position on a promotion-eligible career ladder. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with other WCP leadership and faculty to advance teaching excellence, support faculty development, and strengthen Georgia Techs culture of writing and communication. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to teaching and mentoring students. Salary The annual salary range for this position is $80,000$90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. About the Writing and Communication Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology The Writing and Communication Program cultivates communication excellence across the Institute community. Signature initiatives include the Writing and Communication Center, an undergraduate research writing program, technical communication courses, and a two-semester multimodal writing curriculum. The program is also home to the Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship, a nationally recognized career-preparation program that supports the professional development of approximately 45 recent PhDs. Each year, the WCP delivers approximately 6,000 seats in writing and communication courses and provides more than 1,000 hours of individualized, one-to-one writing and communication instruction. In recognition of its impact and innovation, the program has received the Regents Award for Programmatic Excellence and the Certificate of Excellence from the Conference on College Composition and Communication.
