Overview

Amyx, Inc. is seeking a Litigation Support Specialist to be located in Washington, DC, for the eDiscovery team that will support the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Office of General Counsel (OGC).

The SEC has four primary goals: 1) Detect possible violations of the securities laws and regulations, including fraud; 2) Foster strong compliance and risk management practices; 3) monitor risk; and 4) Provide the SEC with implementation of rules and laws. The work environment will be dynamic, fast-paced and the candidate must demonstrate a strong customer service presence with SEC and Contractor staff.



Responsibilities

    Litigation Support Specialist provides support to the SEC's litigation efforts through the use of technology.
  • Designs, implements and maintains litigation databases in both the SEC's Casepoint systems.
  • Trains end users attorneys and paralegals on proper use of all SEC supported applications and systems.
  • May assist in preparation of documents for exhibits for trial.
  • Analyze user document and data requirements and translate them into processing requests and specifications for data loading and e-production teams.
  • Analyze electronic media to determine content and the most effective ways to process the media. Support the development of workflow and procedures documents.
  • Maintain chain of custody of evidentiary documents.
  • Reviews and audits inbound productions to the SEC as well as externally produced productions send from the SEC to external parties.
  • Acts as a technical project manager to maintain, track, monitor and triage case productions within and through various SEC processing vendors to include scanning, forensics, data processing, eproductions, and systems administrators.
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Qualifications

Requried:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or other field related to work under this requirement.
* Favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation.
* 7+ years of professional experience
* 3+ years of paralegal or litigation support.
* 3+ years experience in information technology.
* The candidate must have familiarity with eDiscovery collections tools i.e. (Microsoft Purview, Enterprise Vault) to collect data and send data to processing/review platforms
* The candidate must have familiarity with eDiscovery processing tools to process data for litigation databases in support of various review platforms.
* The candidate will conduct quality reviews of data within each database after processing to ensure data integrity and project reconciliation prior to submission to the government.
* The candidate will have a vast knowledge of quality control workflows and proper eDiscovery processing and preservation techniques.
* The candidate will have superior time management and production processing multitasking techniques to ensure that productions (large or small) will be submitted on time in accordance to government set timelines.
* The candidate will be familiar with customer service level agreements and processing demands to correspond to these agreements.
* The candidate will have strong knowledge of data triage and have strong problem solving skills, from reconciling individual file processing issues e.g. (PSTs, Microsoft Office Documents, PDFs), to troubleshooting the SEC's various processing and review platforms as issues are presented and encountered.
* The candidate will have knowledge of reporting techniques to submit production and project reports (as needed) to government leads.
* The Candidate will have strong project logging skills as it pertains to all task detail recording from receipt of the project to maintain chain of custody, to recording all processing attributes (errors, exceptions, bates ranges, file counts etc.)
* The candidate must be an effective communicator to the client in email and verbally, to be able to properly escalate problematic productions or issues that are faced during processing and upload within SEC environments.

* Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
* Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS)
* eDiscovery Review Platform Certification e.g. (Casepoint, RCA, Recommind Axcelerate Processing, Nuix)
* Experience with collections tools like Microsoft Purview, Enterprise Vault, Harvester, SharePoint Collector
* Experience with Casepoint
* Experience with Information Systems
* Prior federal services environment consulting experience
