Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $65-71 Hourly W2, weekly pay, benefits, 401k w/ match Start Date: ASAP The Content Design Team is seeking a Brand & Design Guidelines Writer to create and maintain internal and external-facing Production Design Guidelines that support content creation across different types of media (music, podcasts, books, and TV). The Brand & Design Guidelines Writer will work closely with the Content Design Production Team, creating design resources and product documentation for internal and external partners. They will collaborate with design leads, program managers, and other creatives to develop and maintain a common language for production design guidelines. Responsibilities include establishing strategic direction and brand voice, writing and editing design documentation and instructions, and finding new ways to improve how we convey technical information through the voice of the brand for audiences of varying levels of skill. This role will leverage accessible and inclusive language to create clear and engaging content for a variety of formats. This will include brief-writing to synthesize diverse inputs into action items, copywriting for both internal documentation and external web resources, and scriptwriting for instructional video content. The role requires a strong facility with style, grammar, tone, and voice - and the ability to apply those tools to shape and sharpen how the voice of the brand manifests through each detail. The work will require extremely detailed engagement and the ability to quickly spot errors and inconsistencies. The candidate will need to be able to balance multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy working with team members in different roles to iterate on a piece to the point of perfection. A diplomatic approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay highly organized is essential. The role requires continually identifying and amalgamating key details cross-functionally. The candidate must be skilled in pulling everything together and crafting ways to deliver the details in ways that feel compelling, easily approachable, and larger than the sum of their parts.
