Start Date 1 Mar 2026 Contract Nellis Aircraft Maintenance Salary Range DOE Posting Date 02/11/2026 Union No FLSA Status Exempt/Salaried Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for a Weapons Supervisor with the following knowledge and experience: Duties and Responsibilities * Direct the maintenance effort to ensure mission capable aircraft in the quantities necessary to execute contract requirements are available to the customer. * Manage F-16 AMU Weapons Section. The Weapons Section Supervisor shall have knowledge of and be familiar with weapons loading and weapons maintenance duties/responsibilities. * Attend daily maintenance production/scheduling meetings. * Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement. * Enforce strict adherence to technical data, management procedures and company policy. * Ensure aircraft and equipment forms and MIS documentation are completed, accurate and accomplished. Ensure aircraft status is accurately reflected in both the maintenance forms and the MIS. * Participate in developing and executing the annual, monthly and weekly flying and maintenance schedules/plans. * Attend daily maintenance production/scheduling meetings. * Fully understand and be prepared to implement specific disaster control plans pertaining to aircraft/SE movement and personnel evacuation. * Plan and execute aircraft and personnel TDYs to support the customer. * Determine/track/report aircraft status, authorize CANN actions, verify MICAP conditions exist * Develop, maintain and verify the section's special certification roster. * Maintain TOs, maintain bench and operating stocks, ensure maintenance, control and storage of assigned AME, Dash-21 equipment, and Maintenance, Safety, and Protective Equipment (MSPE), control and maintain TMDE, maintain and manage LMR as required to support the mission. * Have extensive familiarity with DAFI 21-101 (and applicable supplements), AFMAN21-206, and other AFIs and directives that pertain to AMU operations, scheduling, and responsibilities. * Ensure expediters complete initial and recurring qualification training by WS. * Ensures aircraft Dash-6 armament system, AME/NIE inspections, TCTOs and aircraft functional checks are accomplished as required to prevent overdue inspections or over-flight of equipment. * Track all assigned AME and NIE in the MIS. If installed track in MIS by aircraft tail number and position. Track uninstalled equipment in either the MIS or another means approved by the WWM. * Ensures appropriate follow-up actions are accomplished for all armament system malfunctions. * Ensure sufficient quantity of load crew CTKs are available to meet mission requirements. * Work with WWM to ensure compliance with applicable AFIs/Directives. * Ensures AME and SPRAM accountability and control requirements are met IAW DAFI 21-103. List assets as SPRAM if required. * Ensures personnel are trained to perform required security of high-risk weapons at home station and deployed locations. * Ensures requirements for submitting AFTO IMT375 on all weapons support equipment identified in TO 35-1-24 are accomplished. * Inspects weapons section CTKs, armament test and support equipment for serviceability and initiates corrective action as required. Schedules and tracks inspections. Documents inspection results and uses for follow-up action and reference as necessary. * Retain copies of completed AF IMT 2430s (or equivalent) and AF IMT 2434 (or equivalent) as required by applicable AFIs/Directives. * Ensure sufficient numbers of qualified/certified weapons crews are available to load/unload weapons in support of daily flying operations. Weapons crews achieve and maintain weapons load qualification/certification IAW requirements outlined in AFMAN 21-206. * Follow accountability/control requirements for AME, equipment, and supply point IAW DAFI 21-101 CAF SUP, Chapter 3.10. * Comply with criteria established in AFMAN 91-201, Explosive Safety Standards, all, for munitions safety/handling requirements, site planning and use of the facilities/ locations where explosives are involved. Ensure parking of vehicles and the location of support equipment complies with DESR 6055.09_ AFMAN 91-201, all, DoD 6055.9-M Vol 1-8, DoD Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards. * Ensure all contractor employees who handle or work with explosives receive documented initial and recurring weapons academic training. * Comply with safety directives for all munitions-related operations. Ensure safe and reliable weapons loading/ unloading and maintenance procedures are used. Ensure supervisory post-load and maintenance inspections are performed and documented. * Designate Weapons Load Crew Chief/Members. * In coordination with the Weapons Standardization (WS) Superintendent, ensure load training aircraft requirements and load crew proficiency evaluation schedules are developed. Include these schedules in the weekly and monthly maintenance plans. * Perform "Supervisory Post-loads" on all loaded munitions, suspension equipment, empty weapons stations, gun systems and chaff/flare stations for proper configuration/security for the assigned mission IAW Performance Work Statement. * Attend monthly Weapons and Ammunition (WAMMO) meetings. Additional Requirements: Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's / Associate's Degree highly desired. High School Diploma a minimum. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English. * Minimum 10 years hands on aircraft maintenance experience with at least 6 years supervisory experience and four years aircraft production experience. * Must have experience with weapons loading and weapons maintenance duties and responsibilities. * Civilian aviation license or equivalent military technical training certificate as required. * Must be able to work day shift, night shift or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required. * Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner. * Must have an in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives, aircraft/vehicle movement, flight line operations, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications (read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematics, diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications). * Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel. * Must be willing and able to obtain/maintain aircraft/equipment Red X and IPI certification, and other special certification roster items. * Must be willing and able to conduct specialty on the job training as required. * Obtain/maintain security clearance. * Current valid U.S. Driver's License. * Work site is contained within a restricted area and requires the ability to obtain/maintain a government issued Restricted Area Badge for unescorted access to the work site and to obey all requirements of the restricted area. * SAR access required. * Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line.
