Job Description

This role is based in our New York office.

Money20/20 is the world's leading premium content, sales, and networking platform for the global money ecosystem. We provide in-depth analytics, inspirational speakers, and unparalleled networking opportunities to help our customers stay ahead in the rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.

Money20/20, as a part of Informa Festivals, has achieved record growth in recent years organically and via acquisition. Our team is expanding to capitalize on this momentum and proactively entering into new segments and geographies. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in New York City, driving growth across the Money 20/20 portfolio in Latin America. If you're passionate about sales, events, finance, and technology, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic industry as part of a market-leading brand and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently achieve and surpass quarterly and annual revenue targets and performance indicators
  • Spearhead new business expansion across diverse revenue streams, with focus on strategic markets and sectors targeted for brand development, specifically Latin America.
  • Manage and nurture direct relationships with customers to strengthen partnerships and ensure growing engagement with Money 20/20 events.
  • Develop and implement tailored strategies to win new business accounts, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs and opportunities to enhance their involvement in the event.
  • Manage the sales process end to end. Secure and conduct meetings with senior-level prospects, deliver executive presentations, create proposals, draft contracts, and actively network within the industry
  • Craft detailed, customized commercial proposals drawing from the Money20/20 inventory portfolio
  • Work closely with marketing, content, creative, finance, operations, and customer experience teams to ensure clients' expectations are met and they receive the best possible service throughout the partnership
  • Attend Money20/20 events to build network, knowledge and win business
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in selling trade show sponsorships and exhibit space
  • Background in the technology, finance, and events sectors preferred
  • Professional fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to travel within North and Latin America
  • Exceptional customer service mindset with dedication to exceeding client expectations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and present to mid- and senior-level executives
  • Proficient research capabilities to identify opportunities and market trends
  • Proven ability to understand client needs and tailor proposals to effectively meet those objectives
  • Proficient in utilizing Salesforce for account management, pipeline tracking, and reporting
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office tools

Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000, plus commission
