PRIMARY FUNCTION: To prepare patients for invasive procedure, and assist the physician during a diagnostic catheterization, PTCA, or electrophysiology study. Rotates through all aspects of the laboratory. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCHEDULE: Shift - Day Shift 7am-5:30pm M-F No weekends or holidays. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: BLS and ACLS within one year of hire. SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS: Frequent contact with physicians, nurses, allied health personnel, patients, visitors, both internal and external. DIRECTION/SUPERVISION OF OTHERS: Students from Delaware Technical College, Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, and Thomas Jefferson University DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Manager, Heart and Vascular Interventional Labs Assistant Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager, Electrophysiology Lab Manager, Heart and Vascular Interventional Labs Director, Heart and Vascular Interventional Services Vice President, Heart and Vascular Medical Director, Heart and Vascular Interventional Services KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: BLS ACLS within one year of hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent lifting of incapacitated patients, standing and bending for extended periods while wearing a protective lead apron (weighs 20 lbs.). Pushing/Pulling of patients on stretchers WORKING CONDITIONS: Limited exposure to radiation, confined spaces, and blood borne pathogens/body fluids. Exposure to potential for cuts and/or punctures, and repetitive motion tasks. Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
