Senior AI Developer - Local Remote Only (DMV)

Salary Range: $140,000 - 147,500

We are currently seeking a Senior AI Developer to support a federal government customer in Washington, DC.

The Opportunity

This full-time position is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical skills and a customer-focused mindset. The successful candidate will support mission systems while working closely with government stakeholders and internal teams. This role supports the development of AI tools for a Federal agency with approximately 150 locations worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Provide development and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems supporting a Federal agency conducting international operations
• Develop new AI products and capabilities
• Perform O&M for existing AI products
• Ensure application security and effective delivery management
• Support AI systems currently maintained by the agency, including the Global Business Navigator (GBN) Chatbot

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the field or a related area
• Minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience
• U.S. Citizenship
• Experience designing and developing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions
• Experience implementing machine learning and deep learning algorithms and frameworks
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data
• Experience integrating AI models into production or operational systems
• Experience documenting code, models, and technical processes to support maintenance and sustainment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• .NET application development experience
• Full-stack development within the .NET technology stack
• API design and development
• Experience building dedicated API layers for enterprise systems
• Deep code analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Experience developing innovative technical solutions
• Enterprise application development experience
• Experience supporting high-profile, mission-critical applications
