Summary:
The Manager, Process Engineering is responsible for all areas of departmental management including personnel, production support, process engineering, maintenance, materials, and tooling to ensure that products are assembled to customer expectations. A prior background with an EMS/CM AND PCBA/PCB is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience with an electronic manufacturing service / contract manufacturer.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes (emphasis on PCB/PCBA).
  • Strong experience with Surface Mount Technology and Secondary Operations Expert.
  • Project Management experience
  • Relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Microsoft Project, Excel and Word expert.
  • Understanding of manufacturing systems and tooling development
  • Multi-Site support, global preferred.
  • Experience with AI Technology and Power BI preferred.
  • Tooling development and improvement expertise.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, capital equipment planning, and justification processes.
  • Drive adoption of automation, AI tools, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to qualify tooling, materials, and new technologies.
  • Oversee maintenance and equipment health strategies, including calibration, preventive maintenance, and equipment capability.

  • Manages Process Engineering Group, leading engineers and technicians through career development and day-to-day responsibilities for support and sustaining engineering of production equipment and the facilities
  • Responsible for employee development and performance reviews
  • Oversees the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal order changes
  • Develops strategies for new business and assist in production planning
  • Reports on the status of NPL (New Product Launch) activities
  • Uses statistical tools to lead quality improvement within the support engineering team for products and processes
  • Leads or participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format
  • Provides product design review leadership to customers
  • Drives internal and external corrective action plans
  • Plans new customer development and new business development within the support organization
  • Analyzes data to understand business improvement needs
  • Maintains an effective employee unit through appropriate employee selection, training and development, motivation and discipline, performance evaluation and wage salary treatment.
  • Assists in driving the standardization of manufacturing processes.
  • Establishes clear measurable goals and objectives by which to assess individual and team results (i.e. metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, knowledge of roles and responsibilities, personal development goals). Drives individuals and teams to continuously improve in key metrics and the achievement of organizational goals. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
  • Drives a lean culture. Identifies creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).

* 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
* 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
* 5+ years in a leadership role
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

* Understanding of manufacturing systems and tooling development
* Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
* Available for travel up to 25-45% of the time, including day, overnight and international travel as required

* Strong financial acumen related to capital expenditures and cost optimization.

Compensation Range: $128,404.00 to $160,505.00 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
