Position Summary


The Training Specialist & LMS Administrator plays a key role in supporting Alta's talent strategy by delivering effective training, enablement, and employee development initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for support in designing, delivering, and maintaining training programs while serving as a primary administrator of Alta's Learning Management Systems. The position partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Training, Employee Development and business leaders to support onboarding, enablement, compliance, and continuous development throughout the employee lifecycle.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities



Training, Enablement & Employee Development



  • Assist in the Design, development, and delivery of instructorled, virtual, and webbased training programs to support onboarding, role readiness, compliance, safety, leadership, and functional skill development
  • Support Talent Acquisition by partnering on new hire onboarding, orientation, and earlytenure enablement to ensure a smooth and consistent candidatetoemployee transition
  • Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Training, Employee Development, Safety, Operations, and business leaders to assess training and development needs and align learning initiatives with Alta's business objectives
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ongoing employee training sessions, both virtually and in person, as required
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials, including presentations, job aids, videos, and LMSbased learning content
  • Support employee development initiatives by helping define learning paths, rolebased training, and development opportunities
  • Assist in the Evaluation of training effectiveness through assessments, completion data, and participant feedback, and recommend continuous improvements
  • Promote a culture of learning, engagement, and performance excellence across the organization
  • Employee networking



Learning Management System (LMS) Administration



  • Serve as a system administrator for Alta's Learning Management Systems, including Dayforce Learning
  • Upload, assign, organize, and maintain training content, curricula, and learning paths within the LMS
  • Manage user access, enrollments, course completions, and training records to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes by ensuring timely assignment and tracking of required training
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support audits, compliance tracking, Talent Acquisition metrics, and leadership reporting
  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and IT to ensure LMS integrations align with HRIS, payroll, and employee data processes
  • Act as a primary point of contact for LMS questions, troubleshooting, and enduser support



Compliance & Continuous Improvement



  • Work with Management to ensure required compliance, safety, and policy training is properly assigned, tracked, and documented
  • Maintain training records in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
  • Stay current on learning technologies, adult learning principles, and training best practices
  • Identify opportunities to enhance training delivery, LMS functionality, onboarding effectiveness, and employee development programs
  • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities and training initiatives



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience with employee training, enablement, or supporting learning and development initiatives
  • Knowledge and usage of a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with virtual training platforms and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities



Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting Talent Acquisition or onboarding programs
  • Experience with HRISintegrated LMS platforms, such as Dayforce
  • Knowledge of safety, compliance, or technical training programs
  • Experience or familiarity with webbased or elearning content
  • Knowledge of Sandler Training

  • Occasional travel may be required
