Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Division is seeking a Civil/Structure Engineer to support our tissue, towel and napkin manufacturing operations located in Muskogee, OK. Our Civil/Structural Engineer will lead structural assessments and design repairs and upgrades for plant buildings, foundations, conveyors, and support structures, and will manage civil infrastructure such as pavements, drainage, and water systems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in structural engineering design and construction that enhances safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and overall plant efficiency. This engineer will deliver practical, cost-effective solutions that prioritize safety and reliability while minimizing production downtime. Occasional site travel is required

What You Will Do

  • Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture
  • Assist in the planning and design of structural and civil projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and goals
  • Provide technical expertise during scoping, engineering and construction phases, addressing engineering challenges and ensuring quality.
  • Support all stakeholders including project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Consult on Structural and Civil concerns, and issues through the plant.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in the estimation of project costs and resource allocation
  • Organize and execute activities that will deliver projects as defined in the Scope of Work which includes design, construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentation activities.
  • Support project teams in the development and implementation of projects using the Georgia-Pacific Capital Project Work Processes

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in structural and/or civil engineering in a manufacturing, construction, military or industrial environment.
  • Experience with applying codes and standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, ASTM/ANSI or similar) to projects.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • PE License in Structural and/or Civil Engineering, or willing to acquire licensure.
  • Experience leading projects or as a project manager.
  • Experience using Autodesk software.
  • Pulp and Paper Experience.
