What to Expect
As a Wholesale Operations Specialist, you will work cross functionally alongside our Used Car, Delivery, Sales, and Service teams to accurately appraise and sell wholesale vehicles. To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized, detail oriented, and efficient. You should have a passion for our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy and be comfortable with working in a high volume and fast paced environment. While individual contributions are essential, a positive impact and collaborative spirit is required to achieve the highest level of success. In the wholesale operations role, you will help manage assigned territory inventory working closely with B2B partners to ensure the timely delivery and sale of vehicles at a remote auction.
What You'll Do
- Review market indicator data, vehicle history and vehicle condition to appraise the value and resale of trade-in vehicles in keeping with current Tesla valuation strategies
- Accurately record vehicle sale status, dispatch and track inventory using Tesla internal systems
- Represent Tesla and sell at weekly remote live auction sales events
- Be the subject matter expert and have accountability in your assigned auction and inventory
- Procure operational improvements and coordinate with management and B2B partners to push projects to completion
- Develop and support strong relationships with cross functional business partners (Sales, Delivery, Service, Finance)
- Act as a point of contact and assist with any inquiries from our North American field teams regarding wholesale vehicle logistics
- Travel to assigned auction partners as needed
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
- Be a self-starter who possesses exceptional time management and critical thinking skills and has great attention to detail
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment, as well as independently
- Superior attention to detail under tight deadlines and comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing working environment
- Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to understand and convey business issues, weekly performance reporting and technical concepts
- Highly efficient working across multiple computer systems, experience with CRM a plus, experience with MS Office and Excel required
- Demonstrated knowledge of auto auction operations and processes
- Automotive or vehicle service knowledge highly valued
- Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus for serving international auction markets
