You will drive the creative process from concept to execution, ensuring every design reflects a keen understanding of style, fit, fabric, and market trends. Your work will directly influence the aesthetic and appeal of new and existing product lines, helping to define the brand's identity and delight customers. **What You'll Do** * Create brand-right, commercial designs that align with conceptual direction and business strategy.
* Execute product designs with meticulous attention to detail, speed, and agility.
* Develop seasonal products, focusing on innovative style, optimal fit, and appropriate fabric selection.
* Iterate and refine designs based on feedback, ensuring final products meet high standards.
* Proactively research and recommend new ideas, staying ahead of competitor trends and market innovations.
* Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional partners, including merchandising, marketing, and product development teams.
* Present design concepts to internal leadership and key stakeholders.
* Produce detailed design sketches, prototypes, and specifications.
* Develop comprehensive tech packs, emphasizing construction, drape, and finishing techniques, and accurately update Bill of Materials (BOMs).
* Maintain and update linesheets with sketches and color information throughout the season, ensuring accuracy through collaboration with various teams.
* Mentor, develop, and inspire junior design talent within the team.
* Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across all levels.
* Ensure all design deliverables meet budget and timeline commitments without compromising design excellence. **Must-Have Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent professional experience.
* 5+ years of design experience within a comparable retail environment.
* Exceptional talent with a commercial fashion eye and a strong understanding of product styling and performance.
* Proven ability to create original design sketches and contribute to successful product lines.
* Comprehensive understanding of design principles, including fit, construction, and various fabrics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a proactive self-starter.
* Strong ability to build tech packs and accurately measure garments.
* Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret consumer needs.
* A collaborative and team-oriented approach.
* Highly motivated, passionate, and results-oriented.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience and passion for motivating and developing talent.
