Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Work Assistant for the department of Neuroscience & Cell Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Work Assistant is responsible for providing administrative services and general office support to the
RWJMS Anatomical Association. The Work Assistant performs clerical duties such as routine typing, data entry and database management, filing, copying, and phone and email communications. The Work Assistant supports operational functions of the Anatomical Association, prioritizes responses to inquiries, and provides resolutions where applicable.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Enter and modify information in a database for new donors; update and retain accurate donor files. Apply for/process death certificates for donor families. Mail application/information to donors and cadaver users; assist with public relations mailings. Maintain records relative to administrative functions pertaining to Anatomical Association business.
- Facilitate financial transactions for the program. Assist in researching information for goods/services and submission of purchase requisitions. Ensure expenditures are in accordance with blanket purchase orders and allocation of funds.
- Handle telephone inquiries and assist Program Director in composing correspondence as required and in performing routine and general office duties.
- Handle additional related responsibilities as assigned at Program Director's discretion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- One (1) year of experience in general clerical work; ability to read, write, speak, understand and/or communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of the position.
