Position Summary

The Home Health and Hospice Business Manager is responsible for the Business management, marketing, and financial success of the Home Health and Hospice programs. This includes overall execution, analysis, management and oversight of contractual relationships and strategies for cost avoidance. The Business Manager ensures adequate and efficient provision of resources and an environment that facilitates optimal patient care. The Business Manager is ultimately responsible for all coordination and processes to manage a referral through admission. This management position is responsible for supervision of the access, intake, and administrative staff. This position requires leadership skills, independent thinking, organization, interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies and procedures, data analysis, coordination and delegation of work assignments, planning and prioritization. This is a management level position that is broad in scope and encompasses a wide range of services. This position requires organization and interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies and programs. Work situations are frequently non-routine requiring a broad vision of the future of the health care industry; sensitivity to the values and expectations of management, employees, patients, and community constituencies, complex data analysis, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision making. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements


  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), or Health Administration (MHA)
  • Minimum three (3) years healthcare experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of appropriate experience in program development or management , preferably in a health related organization
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $100,547.00 - $144,685.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
