Bio-Rad's Global Commercial Operations (GCO) Commercial Training team strives to equip commercial employees with the knowledge, skills, and abilities for their role to empower them to drive business results. As Bio-Rad continues to innovate across its clinical diagnostic product portfolio, it is critical that our commercial teams are confident, consistent, and effective in positioning and selling these solutions globally.

The Commercial Training Specialist will partner closely with commercial leaders to understand business priorities, sales strategies, and product training needs. In addition, this role will collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to translate product features, clinical value, and customer use cases into impactful, learner-centered training experiences. For each new product launch, update, or strategic initiative requiring enablement, the Commercial Training Specialist will help define key learning objectives, identify target audiences, assess the scope of change, and design training approaches that support adoption and performance.

Using these insights, the Commercial Training Specialist will design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable and sustainable global training programs for both new hires and tenured commercial employees. These programs will ensure learners have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively articulate product value, engage customers, and support Bio-Rad's clinical diagnostic business. On a day-to-day basis, the role will create and maintain engaging training materials, reinforcement and coaching tools, and supporting communications that drive retention, application, and measurable impact in the field.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Lead multiple change management, instructional design, and communications initiatives simultaneously in support of clinical diagnostic product launches, updates, and commercial priorities.
  • Partner with Global Commercial Operations and commercial leadership to understand evolving sales processes, product strategies, and capability gaps impacting field performance.
  • Apply a structured change management methodology to independently develop and execute core change plans-including Communications, Training, People Manager Enablement, and Sponsor Engagement-to drive adoption, minimize resistance, and accelerate time to impact.
  • Make innovative, data-informed recommendations to improve clinical diagnostic product knowledge, messaging consistency, and commercial execution across regions.
  • Develop multi-channel communications for global audiences to build awareness, generate excitement, and reinforce key product messages and commercial initiatives (e.g., emails, SharePoint sites, videos, launch toolkits).
  • Design and deliver engaging, outcome-focused training solutions-including eLearning, assessments, virtual and in-person instructor-led training, webinars, scenarios, role-play exercises, videos, and quick reference guides-leveraging a variety of technologies and evaluating effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model and change management measurement tools.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Life Science, Clinical Diagnosis or a related field, or equivalent work experience. MBA a plus.
  • Work Experience: 7+ years of demonstrable experience in enabling software-related initiatives in a fast-paced matrixed environment. Experience in a Clinical Diagnostics-based Sales, Field Service, or Customer Technical Support role a plus.
  • Formal training in adult learning theory and instructional design.
  • Experience using and/or designing training for clinical diagnostic products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player with the ability to function autonomously.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and building relationships remotely and cross-culturally, effectively communicating and engaging with +2/-2 levels of the organization, and taking a collaborative approach to decision making and problem solving.
